Terms and Conditions
1.1. The website www.alumahotels.com provides information about Aluma Hotels and additionally enables purchasing holiday deals at Aluma Hotels (referred to as the “site” or “website”). Booking holiday packages (referred to as “services”) through the website is a binding process equal to booking in any other way.
1.2. The site is owned by Aluma Greece I.K.E, a company established under the laws of Greece with registered company number 150272701000 and registered tax number 801151140 having its registered address at 28 Geraniou St., 10552, Athens, Attica, Greece (referred to as “Aluma”). Customers who purchase or wish to purchase a vacation through the website or any other person who visits the site (referred to as “buyer”), declare and commit that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and comply with them.
1.3. These Terms and Conditions are subject to Greek laws and any dispute shall be sorted in the competent courts of Athens.
2.1 Aluma has a copyright regarding all content on this website and other modules of this site. Copying, duplication, publication, distribution, sale, or change of information or part of it appearing on this website without written approval from Aluma is strictly prohibited, except in cases of personal and non-commercial downloads.
2.2 In addition, the logo, commercial trademarks, and icons presented on this website (collectively referred to as “trademarks”) are registered and protected under trademark and copyright laws by Aluma. No part of this site shall indicate permission or right to use the trademarks without written permission from Aluma and if any such use occurs, shall be considered unauthorized and thus, unlawful. All rights on this website without any exclusion belong solely to Aluma. Aluma reserves the right to change the site or close/remove it at any time.
3.1. Every person who has a valid credit card issued by one of the following companies may purchase services through the website: Visa, Diners Club, American Express, and MasterCard. Buyers may use this site only for acquiring information or for ordering or purchasing services. One is not allowed to use this site for any other purpose. Reservations through this website are done only by credit card. An order cannot be placed without filling out the buyer’s credit card details. Credit card information is saved only to ensure the reservation. We charge the credit card only at the hotel the guests have booked. Illegal use of this website or information published on it is a violation of copyright laws and other laws linked to it.
3.2. Aluma reserves the right to change in its absolute discretion these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
4. Details of Buyers
When purchasing services through the website the buyer is requested to fill out his/her personal details (referred to as “details of purchase”). Website owners and/or site operators and/or the owners and/or their managers and/or their representatives are not responsible for any mistake made by the buyer in typing the details of the purchase, including mistakes regarding choosing the vacation package, dates, number of beds, as well as any other service ordered by the buyer through the website. Aluma shall not be held directly or indirectly responsible in cases in which the details of the purchase are not entered or received by our reservations system, and/or in case of technical problems and/or any other problem that prevents the buyer from purchasing services through the website. Entering false purchase details is a criminal offense. Persons submitting false details will face lawsuits including damages claims due to possible damages of the website, to its operators and/or its owners and/or its managers and/or their representatives without prejudice to any other rights provided under Greek applicable law.
5. Placing an Order
5.1. Orders are placed by entering all the needed information in the details of purchase.
5.2. Placing an Order Using a Credit Card:
The entered credit card information is used in most cases to secure the order. After entering credit card information, the buyer will receive an automated email message confirming the reservation. Buyers must print the confirmation bring it to the hotel, and hand it to the front desk. Order confirmation is automatic in online reservations. The client’s credit card will be charged only upon arrival at the hotel. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in certain sales, the buyer will be charged immediately after placing the order, via the website: simplebooking.alumahotels.com.
5.3. To clear any doubts, when ordering services from Aluma, you will receive direct messages, including mail containing commercial content/ advertisement, under the conditions provided by the applicable legislation. You may, at any time, notify Aluma that you are no longer willing to receive any electronic messages, by sending an e-mail to Promotions@alumanews.com.
6. Cancellation Policy and Modifications in Reservations:
6.1. Canceling orders must be done in accordance with Article 8 of Law 1652/1986 regarding regulation on Consumer-Hotel relations, as in force, Law 2251/1994 regarding Consumer Protection, and the Greek Civil Code, namely Articles 834 – 838, including any other applicable regulations thereof (hereinafter: the “Applicable Law”), and after the buyer has placed an order through the website’s reservation system, and received the booking confirmation document (hereinafter: the “Ordering Party”).
6.2. An Ordering Party may cancel a transaction, subject to the provisions of the Applicable Law, as in any of the following means:
• Orally, i.e. – by phone: +30 21 4405 6400, or directly at one of Aluma’s offices.
• By registered mail to Aluma Reservations Center, located at 3 Markias Kotopouli St. 10431, Athens, Greece
• By e-mail: reservations@alumahotels.gr
• Online (through the Website’s reservation system).
The cancellation notice should include at least the name and the identity number of the Ordering Party, and if the cancellation notice is delivered orally, Aluma shall have the right to request an additional identification detail.
6.3. Cancellation/Modification Fees for all Seasons:
6.3.1. Cancellation/Modification of a reservation may be made up to 24 hours prior to the check-in date, without a cancellation fee.
6.3.2. Cancellation/Modification (or non-arrival) made less than 24 hours prior to the date of the stay, will be subject to cancellation fees in the amount of the full reservation.
6.4. It is hereby clarified that the Ordering Party will be debited by Aluma (or anyone on its behalf) through the Ordering Party’s credit card, which details were provided to Aluma by the Ordering Party, and the Ordering Party hereby gives his irrevocable consent to charge him\her as stated above, subject to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
6.5. Cancellation of a reservation without cancellation fee:
It is hereby clarified that a reservation can be canceled, free of cancellation charge, due to a discrepancy between the booked reservation and the booking details provided to the Ordering Party following the booking procedure, and/or due to failure to provide accommodation services regarding the reservation date, and/or due to a defect attributed evidently to Aluma.
It is also clarified that in addition to the abovementioned cases in this Clause, in which a reservation can be canceled without payment of a cancellation fee in accordance with Greek law, Aluma may also, in its sole discretion, exempt the Ordering Party from paying a cancellation fee for the cancellation of the reservation.
6.6. Requests for changes in orders placed on the website, should be done in writing only (registered mail, or via e-mails) and should be sent to Aluma Reservations Center at 3 Markias Kotopouli St. 10431, Athens, Greece, or to the following email address: reservations@alumahotels.gr, or by written confirmation of the changes sent to you by a phone representative after he/she was contacted by the customer by phone +30 21 4405 6400.
6.7. If the guest changed the order, the new date of placing the order shall be the day Aluma Reservation Center received the message via mail, email, or telephone call.
6.8. In case the message was sent on a sabbatical in Israel, the date of changes will be the following business day.
6.9. Requests or claims for changes will not be handled unless such requests or claims include written documents, signed and confirmed by Aluma Reservations Center.
6.10. The consumer will pay for any additional costs due to changes in reservation and he/she will be informed of any costs prior to making the changes to Aluma Reservation Center.
6.11. Prices of services appearing on the website are subject to periodical updates and changes.
6.12. In case there is an inconsistency between the price offered on the website and the prices of Aluma Reservations Center, the price of Aluma Reservations Center is the correct one.
6.13. In case prices are changed due to a rise in prices, the rise in prices will include reservations that were already placed, in which customers did not receive a final confirmation in writing from the Aluma Reservations Center.
7. Terms and Limitations:
7.1. As a currency conversion fee may be applied by the credit card issuer, the amount shown is not final and may change accordingly.
7.2. Aluma may cancel or change at its absolute discretion the terms of receiving reservations as well as all prices published on the website at all times.
7.3. In addition to the above limitation, Aluma has the right for a one-sided cancellation or disapproval of any reservation or deal pursuant to the provisions of Applicable Law. Aluma has the right to cancel even in case that the customer has received an automatic confirmation if one of the following occurred:
7.3.1 There is an error in the price of the deal; Aluma is not obliged to this deal. It may fully refund the customer and/or contact him in order to complete the order.
7.3.2 In case there was a mistake in any detail regarding the published deal, in its definition, or due to human error.
7.3.3 In case there was any mistake in the ordering process attributed solely to the Ordering Party.
*For all cancellations under this section (Terms and Limitations), Aluma will not charge cancellation fees.
7.4. The prices appearing on the website are in euros and include VAT and local taxes, but do not include environmental fees.
7.5. Arrival time at Aluma Hotels, check-in and checkout:
Arrival time at the hotel will be possible only from 15:00 (earlier arrival at the hotel will not be possible). Checkout will be no later than 11:00.
7.6. According to Aluma’s rules, babies are infants younger than 24 months of age; children are between 2 and 12 years of age.
7.7. Promotions are not valid in conjunction with other special offers.
7.8. Hosting children or teenagers under the age of 18 is possible only if they are accompanied by an adult (21 years or older). Ordering and staying in rooms at Aluma is allowed only for people who are 18 years old or older.
7.9. The number of rooms/suites is limited and reservations are subject to availability.
7.10. All bookings require filling out personal information. When filling out an order all data provided by customers must be correct. Aluma is not responsible for any mistakes or typing errors made at the time of reservation, including choosing the wrong hotel, dates, number of beds as well as any other services ordered by the clients.
7.11. Reservations through the website are personal therefore one cannot make more than two reservations under the same name.
7.12. Prices appearing on the website are in Euro.
8. Pictures/Photos and Information on Website
The website includes information published by Aluma and information of other parties. Aluma is not responsible for any content and information including advertisements appearing on the website. All photos are for illustrative purposes only. Since the photos appear on a computer screen and/or printed by the buyer, there might be differences and variations between the way the products look at the photos and the way they actually look.
9. Links
9.1. The website includes links to other websites (referred to as “linked sites”).
9.2. Aluma provides these links for the users’ convenience and it does not hold any responsibility for the information on the linked sites or other websites linked to them, for their validity, or any legal aspect regarding these websites. If users choose to visit the websites, they are responsible for doing so. In order to link or present alumahotels.com on other websites, you must contact Aluma for confirmation.
10.1. Aluma and/or site operators and/ or managers and/or owners or any of their representatives are not responsible for the website’s server, whether it is clear of any viruses or other malware that may harm the personal computer of the buyer while the latter is visiting the website or purchasing services through the website or uses the website in any other way.
10.2. Aluma is not responsible for any damages due to a delay or failure during the use of the website, including using the website for reservation purposes.
10.3. Aluma is not liable for any illegal activities of a buyer on its website or any other party that is not under Aluma’s control.
10.4. At any point, Aluma might deny users access to certain pages of the website or the website as a whole.
11.1. Aluma may change from time to time the site’s structure, content, appearance, terms and conditions, the extent and availability of offered services, or any other aspects regarding the site and its operation. Aluma can do that without giving the buyers any notice.
11.2. Aluma’s liability shall be limited to direct damage, excluding any other damage or loss whatsoever and any indirect damage relating, without limitation, to any loss of profit, revenue, or goodwill.
